Seria „SG” to oryginalny model Yamahy, który wprowadzono na rynek w latach 60. Wszystko zaczęło się od modelu SG-2/3 z około 1966 r. i „Blue Jeans Custom” SG-5/7 z tego samego roku, a następnie przeszło do kształtu z podwójnym wycięciem w postaci modelu SG-30/35 z około 1973 r. Tradycyjny kształt SG, stosowany do dziś, został udoskonalony w modelu SG-175 w kolejnym roku, 1974. Od tamtej pory był produkowany jako flagowy model Yamahy. SG 3000 to najwyższy model SG Yamahy produkowany od 1982 roku.
Najnowszym produktem w ofercie jest topowy model Yamahy SG, SG-3000 S, wyprodukowany w 1985 roku.

KORPUS:
Masa całkowita: około 4,8 kg.
Kolor jest RED WINE, co nadaje mu luksusowy wygląd, godny flagowego modelu.
Korpus gitary charakteryzuje się unikalną strukturą „T-cross Maple” firmy Yamaha, zapożyczoną z modelu SG-2000, Posiada korpus z mahoniu i rzeźbiony klonowy top. Piękne obramowanie wykonane z abalonu i grawerowanie pozłacanych elementów wskazują, że jest to model specjalny. Na gitarze widoczne są ślady zużycia wynikające z jej wieku, takie jak drobne rysy, uszkodzenia części metalowych (patyna), mosiężne pierścienie przetwornika, a także zmatowienie główki, ale nie ma większych rys, a gitara jest w bardzo dobrym stanie. Mosiężna płytka ochronna jest dostępna w ilości 2-óch sztuk złotej i czarnej kolorystyce, (w zestawie) nigdy nie montowane na gitarze.

Laminowany klon skalny i mahoń przechodzący przez gryf, podstrunnica z hebanu, , 22 progi, skala 24 3/4, promień 13". progi 70%, . Znaczniki pozycji na gryfie z masy perłowej rozdzielone abalonem jak również otoczka korpusu wykonana jest także z abalonu. (Abalon to rodzaj mięczaka który występuje w Meksyku, zdobienia w tej gitarze są wykonane z jego muszli). Grubość gryfu (1P/7P/12P): 20,8 mm/22,8 mm/24,6 mm. Szerokość progu: 2,8 mm. Szerokość siodełka: 43,5 mm.
PRZYSTAWKI (pickups):
Yamaha SG 3000 Spinex pickups, dwa humbuckery, montowane w trzech punktach, aby umożliwić równoległą regulację. data produkcji: 17 grudzień 1984. (Spinex w 1998 r. zastąpiono przetwornikami AlnicoV i był znaczone tylko symbolem SG). System Bi-sound rozłączane cewki przystawek potencjometry typu push – pull. Sterowanie jest standardowe [2 głośności/2 tonów/3-pozycyjny przełącznik przetworników]. Oczywiście, potencjometr tonu wyposażono w system bi-sound, umożliwiający uzyskanie dźwięku pojedynczej cewki za pomocą jednego naciśnięcia.
Spinex-y, które po raz pierwszy pojawiły się w modelu SG-3000 i od tamtej pory są szeroko stosowane. Charakteryzuje się czystym, lekko twardym dźwiękiem, które doskonale współpracują ze wzmacniaczami o dużej mocy.
Przetwornik (gryf/mostek): YAMAHA Spinex Magnet Humbucker (8,7 kΩ/8,9 kΩ).
KLUCZE:

The "SG" series is Yamaha's original model introduced in the 1960s. It started with the SG-2/3 circa 1966 and the "Blue Jeans Custom" SG-5/7 of the same year, then progressed to the double-cutaway shape with the SG-30/35 circa 1973. The traditional SG shape, still used today, was perfected with the SG-175 the following year, 1974. Since then it has been produced as Yamaha's flagship model. SG 3000 is Yamaha's top SG model, produced since 1982.
The latest product in the offer is the top Yamaha SG model, SG-3000 S, manufactured in 1985.

BODY

The color is RED WINE, which gives it a luxurious look worthy of a flagship model.
The guitar's body features Yamaha's unique "T-cross Maple" structure, borrowed from the SG-2000, and features a mahogany body and carved maple top. The beautiful abalone frame and the engraving of the gold-plated elements indicate that this is a special model. The guitar shows signs of wear resulting from its age, such as minor scratches, damage to metal parts (patina), brass pickup rings, and matting of the headstock, but there are no major scratches and the guitar is in very good condition. The brass protective plate is available in 2 pieces in gold and black colors, (included) never mounted on the guitar.
NECK:
Laminated rock maple and mahogany through the neck, ebony fingerboard, 22 frets, scale 24 3/4, radius 13". Frets 70%, fingerboard without signs of wear. The position markers on the neck are made of mother of pearl, separated by abalone, as well as the body surround is also made of abalone. (abalon is a type of mollusk that occurs in Mexico and the decorations in this guitar are made from its shell). Neck thickness (1P/7P/12P): 20.8 mm/22.8 mm/24.6 mm. Threshold width: 2.8 mm. PICKUPS:
Yamaha SG 3000 Spinex pickups, production date: December 17, 1984. Bi-sound system, detachable pickup coils, push-pull potentiometers, two humbuckers. Position markers on the neck made of mother of pearl separated by abalone. Controls are standard [2 volume/2 tone/3-position pickup selector]. Of course, the tone pot is equipped with a bi-sound system, allowing you to obtain the sound of a single coil with a single press. The pickups are two humbuckers with magnets, mounted at three points to enable parallel adjustment (Spinex was replaced with AlnicoV pickups in 1998 and was marked only with the SG symbol). Spinex, which first appeared in the SG-3000 model and has been widely used since then. It has a clear, slightly hard sound that withstands use with high-power amplifiers.
